High Five Popcorn hand treat tags

Halloween Popcorn Hand Treat With High Five Tag!

Made these real simple treat tags up today in all black for Luka's baseball team snack! They go wonderful on those popcorn hands! You know the ones I mean..

THESE ONES!

We used this great recipe from Sing from your supper and you'll get breakfast to make some delicious Halloween popcorn though theirs is much prettier then ours.  Only had movie theater butter popcorn available at our chaotic house!

Here is recipe for more detail follow the link above....

Halloween Popcorn
2 bags microwave popcorn, popped
1 bag candy corn
1 16-ounce package white chocolate bark*
Halloween sprinkles
wax paper

Almost finished!  Sure the skeleton pattern would have stood out much better on plain white popcorn but tast wise we were great!

Then we made these real simple tags that you can print up and attach!

I think orange paper might have kept with the theme more but once again it is my house and we are not that prepared for life.  They were a great big hit however and were super yummy! Hope you enjoy them as much as my kids and the baseball team did!

Bunting !

Bunting is hugely popular right now especially for nurseries and kids rooms!

Where did you hang yours?  What is it made of?Is it paper or material, ribbons or lace? Is it custom made, a DIY, or store bought!

Well I went economical, practical and pretty at least I think.  I chose to use a pre made bunting from TARGET! Why because I have 5 kids and no time to sew, though it is on my to do list.  Since I had hoops above Tally's crib already I hung the bunting which is truthfully, most in tune with my original color scheme of bright, red, yellow and aqua  on her builder grade so cal closet with her hair clips! I thought it was ingenious so of course I had to share.
BM Coventry Gray wall color - the perfect Gray! Bunting Target!  Flower clips hand made.  Abstract art photos of crayons by none other than moi!
Just for fun since I mentioned it here is her other wall above her crib and the little sassy monster herself!

Made these timeline cover photos today for basketball fans everywhere! Well actually I made them for my son's basketball team's Facebook page. They may or may not be used but thought maybe someone else might like one or two if they love basketball like my kiddos!

The Traveling Tbirds playing as I type at the NJB Summer Jam in the OC.  (I could have the name totally wrong of the tournament but I think I am right!)

And of course my boy since I am a proud MOM first and foremost!

Spring has sprung just look around and you will find......

Some simple spring time beauty!

Worked on this simple photo I took today of some cherry blossoms.  This was the final edit but I could play all day on photoshop and lightroom.  Part of my problem in life very little time and lots of ideas all that I want to try out.  End result this canvas printable, a messy house and my boys baseball pants not being washed yet for their 5:30 games at almost 3 o'clock! Opps! Mommy fail!

Below is the original photo with the quote placed differently a cleaner edit so to speak.  So many options so many choices it is just hard to decide!

A typewriter you say!

Retro Fun Collage by Parks&Tally
Smith and Corona Galaxie

Yes I bought a typewriter ! That's right a typewriter you may ask yourself why? There are a number of reasons that all make complete and  perfect sense to me, even if to no one else. Why?

Because I like the feel, I like the looks and I wanted my kids to know what one is, or was? I wanted them to feel the keys pound and hear the click clack as you type your story.

Think of the things you loved growing up, are they even around anymore? I loved playing on the typewrite, pretending to be all grown up.  There is something about it all, in this day and age that is special.

Where does one buy one, in case you are so inclined? Goodwill in my case, 1/2 price too- SCORE! It is an average, not really collectible from what I understand, Smith and Corona Galaxie and it is a HUGE HIT, especially with my almost 2 year old !

I am tickled that she loves to play on it. She likes to see her name typed on paper and hit the keys. She loves the bell that rings and is amazed at the key strikes. I may be most surprised that that my older children find it almost as cool! Asking how does it work?  Where do you plug it in?  Can you use any ribbon? LOL

I utterly enjoyed capturing these memories of my little one working away on a piece of history that so many children don't ever see or know about nowadays in the high tech world of iPods, iPads, Nintendos, Nooks and the likes.  This project combines so many of my loves; photography, history, my children and off beat fun!

Been working on this for awhile and finally got my sample done using my wonderfully nutty family of course- so I thought I would share.  If I ever get my etsy shop running more efficiently I want to offer them for sale there.  Until then I am just sharing for those looking for ideas to inspire them, would be perfect for mother's day and or father's day presents coming before we know it ;o)
